I was asked by the editor of In the Moment magazine to write a series of four columns for its Creativity section over four issues, discussing topics as diverse as confidence, balance and courage. The brief was to share personal anecdotes and I really enjoyed drawing on my time as editor of Mollie Makes and Oh Comely to share some stories I hadn't put in writing yet. A few readers got in touch to tell me they'd found these pieces very relatable, which was affirming!
Writer – Guardian Labs x Not on the High Street
Guardian Labs got in touch with me to write a series of features in partnership with designer-maker marketplace, Not on the High Street. The four features were published in Observer Magazine over a month in December 2017. I chose and interviewed a selection of sellers on the website, writing to promote the value of handmade gifts for Christmas; modern artisans fusing new technologies with time-honoured techniques to create something beautiful/tasty and meaningful.
